Thirsty Dog Brewing Now Open at the Flats at East Bank

There’s a new addition to the Flats at East Bank! Thirsty Dog Brewing is now open, located near Alley Cat on Old River Road, directly across from the Music Box Supper Club and is all but impossible to miss beneath the big, red Flats East Bank sign. Boasting a 9,400 square-foot space and over 30 taps, Thirsty Dog Brewing welcomes you into their cozy and cool brewery.

Originally founded in 1997 in Akron, owner and operator John Najeway is exited for the new space and says it’s sure to bring “something for everyone” of all ages. Customers will be able to try any of Najeway’s 20-plus brews and head Chef Rick Milovanovic’s upscale pub fare including a selection of pretzel-crusted chicken, signature burgers, sausages, and shareable appetizers. Najeway and Milovanovic select only the best from local butchers and farmers, ensuring only the finest ingredients reach your table and sate your hunger.

Thirsty Dog Brewing also features a gift shop and artwork from Ohio artist David Lackey. Guitars made from retired beer signs dot the walls around the restaurant. A retired English teacher from Strongsville, David Lackey has been making custom guitars for about five years. “He [owner John Najeway] gave me a stack of signs, I got guitars and repurposed them.” Lackey’s artwork and guitars are also available for purchase in the giftshop.
